Mr. Book quit his job last night. I’m ashamed to say that my reaction was less “Good for you!” than “Oh, no.” So we may be going south much sooner than we’d planned!

If you pray, or hold positive intentions, or make wishes, we could use good thoughts right now.

  1. wow! change on the horizon, and it’s getting closer.
excited for you all and for the possibility of something new and wonderful.
best of luck with the transition.

  2. I’m going to keep you guys in my thoughts and prayers!! I can imagine how scared you were to hear the news, but I know that things are going to work out. It took courage for Mr. Book to quit, though he took the leap before you knew what was happening. You guys had so much to lose if he stayed until he got gobbled up. None of this makes the next few days any easier, and I’m sorry it’s so scary and stressful. Just know that we’re all here for you and let us know how we can help.

  3. YAY sort of and OH NO sort of. You two will figure it out. I will raise a glass to the hopes of a better and more fulfilling life for both of you (and little Joey) – one free of evil corporations constantly trying to pull your limbs off one-by-one!

  4. Sorry – things must have been truly horrible for him to do that. Everything will work out in the end, but I’m sure things must seem scary at the moment. Good luck!
